True protective features/grab and go bag

Posted by Kenneth Russell on 2nd Aug 2024

From my experience this bag lacks at least four features that would make it a more complete personal/PSD back pack: 1) Additional grab handle on the top for times with someone doesn’t have time to zip and go. 2) elastic loops on the bottle pockets for better retention that slide over the lid to keep the bottle from falling out during travel 3) unzip completely for better full body, as much as plausible, protection. 4) a slide through slot to that the bag can be used as a shield I like the concept of level IIIA protection but a few minor adjustments and this bag could provide more complete protection for both the wearer and if necessary his/her client. interesting bag

Posted by Dave S on 19th Sep 2022

picked up this bag after using the Vertex Gamut 2.0 for 4 months. After using this bag for 3 months I am going back to the Gamut2.0. The side pockets are not big enogh for most common 24-36oz water bottle. the main compartment is a decent size for the bag size. the smaller compartment has a trio of odd sized pockets, not quite big enough for standard business cards but not slim enogh for pens. the smaller exposed zipper is almost big enogh for phones of yesteryear, was not big enough for sunglasses like I thought it would be. even with the armor plate in the bag tend to tip forward when placed down on floor. does not have a small loop strap to clip keychain or hidden pocket to hold keys or fixed blade knife. shoulder straps are ok but tend to dig in after a couple hours wondering a local zoo. I went as far as to add a admin pouch into the smaller compartment just to keep things organized and in one place throughout the day of use. --- The Gamut 2.0 is a $200+ tactical bag with no ballistic protection. The commuter is a very basic urban travel backpack with a custom cut IIIA armor panel at $139. We can make you a panel for the Gamut though! Give us a call if you see our response Dave.

    Great Backpack

Posted by Eric Miller on 2nd Dec 2021

This is an item that I pray my son will never need. With all the school stuff going on these days I feel every student should have one. Excellent quality and will last a long time. It is not much heavier then his regular pack that he takes to school. Plenty of room for all his stuff. Thank you for making this affordable and giving me a piece of mind that my child is safer when he goes to school.
