Fit according to size chart. Light weight for the protection you get. Very happy with this product
I work in a grocery store and it is important for me to feel safe and for nobody to know. The product is perfect.
Seems well made, fair price.
We have a lot of their stuff at this point but these were our first shirts. We've got probably a dozen different brands in our locker and nothing comes close to the look you get from their armor. I honestly don't know how you could make this look any more covert unless the armor was a sheet of paper.
I really like the idea and theory behind these products. Soft armor that does not look like armor. Made for the every day joe. This is a great idea. Hope I never have to find out if the product I purchase works or not. Seeing you shoot yourself wearing the armor gave me some confidences. Please keep the new product coming.
appears to be quality material & delivered in a timely fashion. Hope to not test the purpose of your product.. thanks..
I got the IIA. It seems heavier than you expect at first, but when you put it on, the weight distributes well and it is very comfoetable. The fact that the plates don't wrap atound the sides does leave your sides open, but it allows the shirt to ventilate considerably...very much more comfortable than normal wrap around armor. The edges do blend well, so it doesn't print as badly. How concealable it is is likely different for different body shapes. On me, it makes you look a little bigger, more "porky", but distributes well. It looks like you put on like 10-15 pounds, but unless you slouch in a strange way, the plate edges dont really show. I dont know if the IIIA is better for concealability or not. If you wear a button up or jacket over it, the edges of the plates basically disappear. Unless someone knows you from before, they wont notice the "porkiness". You will just look bigger, you won't look abnormal or print in a way that gives away that you are wearing body armor. I especially like that the cut of the plates makes it so you can reach iwb or crossdraw carried CCWs...other vests I have work made it impossible to carry iwb, and you were pretty much stuck with either pocket or OWB carry. I would like to emphasize that the open sides on the plates make this armor a LOT more comfortable than wrap-arounds. You won't overheat nearly as badly in this compared to a more conventional wraparound vest. I had a hard time deciding between IIA and IIIA for this item. In the end, I decided to go with the IIA because I lean toward the "tried and true" for things like this. Also, I wanted to make sure I had 100% aramid in my armor, without UHMWPE, because UHMWPE has problems with heat and melting in contact shots....i figure if, God forbid, someone actually tries to shoot me, a contact shot is likely, and there are plenty of YouTube videos demonstrating UHMWPE failing with contact shots. I would like to see the specs on the IIIA plates...is it 100% aramid or a UHMWPE/Aramid blend, or...? I very much like this construct vest. I work in a nonpermissive environment, but I am hoping to try out wearing the Construct at work. From what I have noticed, I think no one will notice it since I will be wearing it under button up shirt. I was between XL and XXL, and I ordered XXL. It is slightly large, but I like it because the plates still largely stay in place where they need to be, and with Tshirts, having one a little larger is not a problem. I usually wear another T shirt underneath to protect the Construct. Finally, i can leave y'all with a story: I went to the range with my Father in Law and the next day, he mentioned he didn't know if I brought the body armor shirt along or not...he's seen it before, but it was so subtle that he didnt remember if I was wearing armor. Also, it was a hot and humid day, but even with a t shirt under the Construct, it was bearable and I kept it on. Im pretty sure if I had a normal vest on, even IIA, I wouldn't have been able to keep it on. Hope that was helpful!
I wore it all day at a bbq and not a single person noticed. Or they don't care lol Either way I love it.
